1. Business Details
This website is operated by Meridian Ceramics, based in London, United Kingdom.

2. Handmade Products and Natural Variations
All pieces are handmade in small batches using traditional pottery techniques. Because of this:
- Each item is unique and may vary slightly in shape, size, colour, glaze pattern, and finish.
- Product images and dimensions are provided as accurately as possible, but should be considered indicative.
- These variations are not defects but a reflection of the handmade nature of each piece.
If you are unsure or have specific requirements, please contact me before ordering.
3. Prices and Payment
- All prices are listed in GBP.
- Payment is due at the time of ordering and processed securely via Stripe.
- Shipping costs are calculated at checkout and displayed before payment.
- Important for U.S. Customers: Due to new U.S. customs rules (August 2025), a flat $80 import fee per item is charged by U.S. Customs on delivery for orders under $800. This fee is collected by the courier (USPS, UPS, DHL, etc.) and is separate from your checkout total.
- Important for Australian customers: a 10% GST (import tax) will be collected by Australian Customs or your courier on delivery. This is separate from the shipping fee paid at checkout.
4. Order Confirmation
You will receive an automatic confirmation email once your order is placed.
If there is any issue fulfilling your order, I will contact you as soon as possible and issue a full refund if necessary.
5. Delivery
- Shipping is currently available to UK addresses only.
- Orders are typically dispatched within 3–5 working days.
- Delivery is via Royal Mail or courier, and usually arrives within 2–4 days of dispatch.
- You will receive a shipping notification once your order is on its way.
6. Returns and Cancellations
Change of Mind
- You have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving it.
- Items must be returned unused and in their original packaging.
- Return postage is the customer’s responsibility unless the item is faulty.
- Refunds will be issued within 7 working days of receiving the returned item.
Damaged or Faulty Items
- If your item arrives damaged or faulty, please contact me within 48 hours with photos.
- I will offer a replacement or refund and cover return postage where necessary.
7. Care Instructions
- Most items are dishwasher safe, but hand washing is recommended for longevity.
- Avoid sudden changes in temperature (e.g. from oven to cold water).
- Do not microwave pieces with metallic glaze or decoration.
8. Liability
I do my best to ensure product descriptions and images are accurate. However, I am not responsible for any loss, damage, or injury resulting from the use or misuse of any item sold.
