This large wheel-thrown stoneware vase has a grounded, earthy presence, balanced by bold, expressive brushwork on the exterior. The natural sandy clay is left mostly unglazed on the outside, giving the surface a soft, tactile feel, while sweeping iron-rich brushstrokes add movement and depth around the form.
Inside, a high-gloss dark glaze creates a striking contrast — a deep, reflective pool that gives the piece a sense of weight and drama. The generous opening makes it well-suited for dried stems or fresh arrangements, though it stands confidently on its own as a sculptural object.
A statement piece with a quiet, rustic elegance.
Hand-thrown and fired to 1260°C in oxidation.
